jason mraz


biography
Mraz attended Lee-Davis High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia and graduated in 1995. Mraz is of Czech descent through his grandfather, who emigrated to America from Austria-Hungary in 1915. His name in Czech language means "frost."
Mraz attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City for a short period, where he studied musical theater before moving to San Diego, California.
The lifestyle is Mraz awareness towards health and enjoy eating mostly vegetables crudos.4 He owns a farm of avocado (avocado) in northern San Diego near Fallbrook.5 Jason Mraz's activist charities as Save The Music Foundation, VH1 MusiCares, Free the Children, Life Rolls on and SPARC.6 in 2010 he was named Humanitarian of the Year by the SIMA. He has also received the 2010 Clean Water Award of the Surfrider Foundation.

In that year, worked closely with The Nature Conservancy8 creating a commercial with an adapted version of his song "I'm Yours" to raise awareness about the efforts of the nonprofit organization in the conservation of the planet.


CAREER
Waiting For My Rocket to Come
In 2002, Mraz released his first album on a major label debut, Waiting for My Rocket to Come. The album was a relative commercial success, peaking at number fifty-five on the Billboard Hot 200 and number two on the Top Heatseekers Chart. The first single, "The Remedy (I Will not Worry)" was co-written by the muscial production team The Matrix and was the first single to be among the top twenty on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 15 .

Mraz opened the show by Tracy Chapman in March 2003 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. In July 2005, Mraz opened for Alanis Morissette during her Jagged Little Pill Acoustic Tour. On July 26, 2005, he released his second album (Mr. A-Z) on a major label, Atlantic Records. It entered the Billboard 200 peaking at 4.11 in December, the album won a Grammy Award nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, while its producer, the prolific Steve Lillywhite, received a nomination for Producer of the year.12 A friend and former roommate Mraz, Billy "Bushwalla" Galewood also collaborated on the album, co-wrote "Curbside Prophet" and the third single from the album, and "I'll Do Anything".
Mraz began his long tour of Mr. A-Z in the San Diego Music Awards on September 12. The tour included the wide variety of performances, including Bushwalla and Tristan Prettyman, with whom he co-wrote the duet "Shy That Way" 2002.13 Mraz and Prettyman had a relationship, which ended in 2006. We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
Mraz released his third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. on May 13, 2008. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard Hot 200 giving Mraz his best album to date. Following the success of first single, I'm Yours, the album entered the top ten of many music charts around the world.
Mraz and his song "I'm Yours" was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance 51st Grammy Awards in 2009. The album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. was nominated for a Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical in 2009. On January 31, 2009, Mraz was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where he played "I'm Yours" and "Lucky", the latter with Colbie Caillat. "Lucky" reached # 48 on the Hot 100.
In 2010, with "Make It Mine" and "Lucky", Mraz won two Grammy Awards in the 52nd in the categories Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Collaboration
